Mark G. Mills
1st. Jr. Vice Commander
Mark Mills was born in Baltimore City in September of 1964. He is the oldest child of Gregory and Bernadine Mills. His father was a police officer at Sparrows Point and his mom worked for Martin Marietta Aerospace. Mark’s family moved to Essex when he was a toddler, where he lived until his marriage. Mark graduated from Chesapeake Sr. High School in 1982. He is happily married for over 30 years to his wife, Margie. They have a son Michael who is an Eagle Scout and a daughter Amanda, a recent graduate from Towson University.
Mark is a Retired U.S. Army disabled combat veteran. He has served in Operation Southern Watch Kuwait, Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom. As of November 2015, he has retired from the MD State Military Dept. National Guard Honor Guard as an area manager providing Military Honors and Facility Operations at his armory. He was awarded the MD Distinguished Service Cross for aiding in the completion of 50,000 funerals for our fallen veterans.
Currently residing in Nottingham, Mark is the Commander of Chapter 18 Towson, where he has been a member for 3 years. He served as Department Officer of the Day last year. He looks forward to serving as 4th Jr Vice Commander this year.
